Atlanta Hawks Make Roster Move Before Nuggets Game
USA TODAY Sports

On Monday evening, the Atlanta Hawks  will host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets at State Farm Arena in Georgia.

Before the game, the Hawks announced that they had made a roster move.

Via Hawks PR: "The Atlanta Hawks announced today that two-way guard/forward Seth Lundy has been transferred to the Atlanta Hawks from the College Park Skyhawks."

Shortly after the Hawks announced that Lundy had been called up to the NBA, the Hawks revealed that starting forward De'Andre Hunter had been ruled  out for Monday's game.

Therefore, Lundy will provide more depth on the bench.

Lundy was the 46th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Penn State and has yet to make his debut for the Hawks.

He is on a two-way contract, so he will spend a lot of time going back and forth between the Hawks and College Park Skyhawks (G League).

The Skyhawks most recently played the Long Island Nets on December 6, and Lundy had 26 points, four rebounds and two assists while shooting 9/17 from the field and 7/12 from the three-point range in 35 minutes of playing time.

As for the Hawks, they are 9-12 in their first 21 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Following the Nuggets, the Hawks will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit Pascal Siakam and the Toronto Raptors in Canada.
